Succumbed to the Wii phenomenon...

Well, I finally succumbed to getting a Wii. I have wanted once since I played it in Florida last year but circumstances (and the lack of availability) made me wait until I saw one in our local Target last week and convinced the better half to let me buy it!!!

Wow- I am addicted to the Wii Sports tennis and baseball but my back aches, arms ache- places I have never thought of ache!

My two girls LOVE it (although Leia is finding the remote a little unusual but it is better than a standard console control as you make the physical movements of the game). Both of them adore the Mii concept- we have swapped Miis with friends and it makes playing the games (with people they can relate to) even more fun!

If you have not got on the Wii bandwagon, I can highly recommend it!!!

Go green and turn off that game console...

So if you're like me, your lazy with the TV, game consoles, DVD players etc and simply use the remote to turn them off- basically putting them in standby mode...

Well, turns out that your new PS3 console could be using 5 TIMES the amount of energy needed to power a refrigerator!!!

Reuters has has a nice little article all about it...

Makes me want to run home and unpulg everything!!!
