 With all the things that are going on in the world at the moment, you have to take a step back every now and then and ask yourself "What sort of era will my children grow up in?".
Right now, I find it difficult to answer that- We are in a world war. I am not religious, yet this is a religious war...a world with a dependence on oil...whatever your beliefs, a war!
 It is a very different world from the one in which I was introduced- I have seen the birth of the home computer, the IRA (and the political process to end it), the Falklands War (British pride at it's best for 5 sheep), the internet, the .COM boom (I was part of it)- I have seen technology grow in dimensions that I could never have imagined...but I have also seen the growing hatred towards that success...
In the next 10 years it will be interesting to see how far all of the current world issues shape the future...the future for my children. Right now, that is a frightening future!
