9/26/2007 5:31 PM: Auto (Scheduled) Reset of Windows Mobile device

GibbsUSA.net smilie: wink So I looked around and could not find any applications out there for 2003 or WM5 that could be used to quietly schedule a soft reset of my WM5 pocket pc...(for example at 3am every day)...so I wrote one...GibbsUSA.net smilie: tongue

This application uses the 1.1 Compact Framework so it is compatible with 2003 devices and it uses the notification queue so it is not constantly running...

Best of all, it is FREE!!! Just let me know of any bugs- I hope to improve on this a lot over the next couple of months!

It can be downloaded here. GibbsUSA.net smilie: coolguy

I don't know if this is the place to put bugs or not, but this program does not work on my smartphone. Whenever I try to start it, I get a native exception error... code: 0x80000002 at adress 0x01318328. My smartphone is the xv6800.

Hmmm...that phone is running WM6 Professional, yes? If so, I'll need to do some checking against that OS...

First of all Id like to thank you for your program.

I have downloaded ResetSchedule.zip and I have installed it on my HP ipaq rw6815 running WM5.

The first test I made run very well, but when I set the program as shown in next picture

and press ok (or exit in the bottom right side),

the program gives the following error message:

It is Italian (so it should be a message from the O.S.) and it means:

Unforeseen error in Option.exe.

Choose Esci (exit) and restart the program

or choose Dettagli (details) for more information.

By pressing Details I have the following screen:

Hope this can be useful to solve this problem.

Best regards.

You need to download the CAB file- you are running an older version which had a date bug...please visit the downloads section to get the CAB file...
